Bonjour and welcome to Paris! Dixie and I on a Trip to Paris about to have dinner in the Jules Verne in the Eiffel Tower. This trip we had dinner while watching the sun set over Paris.

We had been in London for a month and took the Chunnel to Paris for dinner. the trip on the Chunnel was great and very comfortable and a lot more roomy than an airliner.

Paris has long been a magnet for attracting artists, musicians, and poets. Parisians are culturally enlightened and continue to set new boundaries in fashion and the arts. Though Paris has been occupied on occasions throughout history, the city has never been destroyed by war. Therefore, much of the city exists as it always has. Paris has as much if not more to offer tourists then any other European city. The panoramic view from the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur gives you a sense of Paris’s timelessness. Amongst hundreds of pigeons you’ll gaze in awe at the never-ending clusters of limestone buildings. Paris is a world-class city and its streets are bustling day and night. You’ll observe Parisians fruitfully greeting one another by kissing on both cheeks and gleeful pedestrians carrying loafs of French bread. Experiencing French culture is immensely gratifying.

The northern part of Paris, known as Montmartre, is especially charming. Visiting Montmartre is like traveling back in time. Van Gogh once lived here and the streets look very familiar to the landscapes portrayed in his paintings. Local artists work for hire in Montmartre’s center square and the streets are lined with shops carrying everything from souvenirs to wide selections of fabrics.
This was just before the hurricane destroyed most of the Costa Maya city.

Sharing the same Caribbean waters as Belize and being 3 hours south of Tulum, you will find Costa Maya. If you hurry, you will find very little development so far in the area. Along the white sands, nature has created an idyllic and extraordinary vacation place - a small resort of mesmerizing ambiance to which vacationers return each year!

Tucked between Playa del Carmen and Belize, Costa Maya's brilliant Caribbean seas, silky sand beaches and verdant jungle appear to be unchanged since ruled by the vast Mayan empire more than 1,000 years ago. The only break in the emerald horizon is the occasional beach hut. Secluded jungle settings lend an air of mystery. Wild twining orchids, bougainvillea and stately ceiba trees abound. Don't miss the 8-foot-high stucco faces at Kohunlich's Temple of the Masks or the Grand Pyramids at Chacchoben.

I have always enjoyed the Yucatan Peninsula and all of the places along the East Coast, including Cancun, Costa Maya and Belize and I think that you will also. Great shopping, great water and amazing people, customs and much more.
